Tyler grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana and earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science with minors in philosophy and cognitive science from IU Bloomington. While working at sunapsis, Tyler earned his master’s degree in information science from IU Indianapolis to pursue his interests in the intersection of computing and philosophy — focusing on information ontology and student privacy ethics. He previously worked as a research assistant at IU’s Privacy Lab researching group dynamics on online forums. In his free time, Tyler enjoys reading, local music and theater, playing bass guitar, and skateboarding.
