Joe Compion

Director of Business Operations & Client Experience

A strategic leader dedicated to advancing the sunapsis mission, Joe brings a unique blend of technical expertise and operational discipline to the team. A proud Hoosier, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Informatics with a business cognate from Indiana University. His commitment to excellence was forged during his service with the U.S. Army's elite 101st Airborne Division, which included combat deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom). When Joe steps away from work you can find him enjoying the simpler things: video games, music, football, and the relentless pursuit of the perfect taco.

Marie O'Connell

Licensing and Events Manager

Originally from Limerick Ireland, Marie came to Indiana in 1996 as an Au Pair for a year. She has worked at Indiana University since July 2008. Marie joined the Office of International Services in September 2015 as Executive Administrative Assistant for the Associate Vice President for International Services. Marie's role expanded over the years and she became part of the sunapsis team in 2019. She continues to expand her role with sunapsis. In her free time Marie enjoys boating, reading, traveling and knitting. She even knits some of her own sweaters.

Kathy Abell

Senior Client Solutions Engineer & Documentation Specialist

A native of Monroe County, Indiana, Kathy is an IU Bloomington alumna earning a BA in Economics and minors in Business and Psychology.  After working for IU for several years, she contracted as an IT professional in Kuwait and Moscow Russia.  While overseas, she, and her husband traveled extensively to several countries including Greece, Jordan, Turkey and Italy.  Kathy is happy to be home and enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Amy Corwin

Client Solutions Engineer

Amy is a seasoned professional in international education with a deep understanding of the unique needs of international students, scholars and employees. She spent 13 years as an independent Sunapsis consultant, helping universities streamline their international business processes with this robust software. In August 2025, she brought this expertise in-house, joining the Sunapsis team directly. Originally from Oklahoma, she traded the scorching heat for the scenic beauty and snowy winters of Vermont. A true global citizen, she has a passion for travel and spent over seven years living abroad, most recently in Stockholm, Sweden, and speaks Swedish and rusty French. When not at work, you can find her indulging in her love for bread baking and painting, or simply enjoying time with her beloved dogs.

Anna Hartwig

Client Solutions Engineer 

Anna grew up in Southern California and earned a bachelor's degree in Public Policy and Administration from BYU-Idaho. She has several years of experience in international education, including roles at BYU-Idaho and USC, where she specialized in immigration advising and enhancing the international student experience.Outside of work, Anna enjoys spending time with her kids, creating floral arrangements, exploring the outdoors, playing sports, and going to the movies.

Meghana Chakravarthy Mahadasyam

Client Solutions Engineer

Meghana grew up in Hyderabad, India, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Computational Intelligence from KL University in Andhra Pradesh. After spending a year and a half as a ServiceNow Systems Analyst at Infosys, she decided to move across the globe to the United States for greater career opportunities and to pursue her Master’s degree in Computer Science at Indiana University Bloomington. When she’s not busy working, you can find her missing her dog, Hash, who’s back in India living his best life. She loves to travel and explore new places, binge-watch horror/thriller movies (the scarier, the better!), dive into a good book, and listen to music.

Rushali Mahajan

Client Solutions Engineer 

Originally from Delhi, India, Rushali earned her Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. To further her technical expertise, she pursued a Master’s degree in Computer Science at Indiana University Bloomington. Rushali has diverse professional experience, including roles at Infosys, OneAmerica, and Tek Experts, where she honed her skills in IT support, DevOps, and cloud technologies. Outside of work, Rushali enjoys playing tennis, dancing, and exploring new technologies. She is passionate about delivering exceptional IT support and creating impactful solutions for users.

Tim Climis

Director of sunapsis Development

Tim grew up in Connecticut and got his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts. He came to Indiana to study math education and started working at OIS in 2006. After taking some time off for school, he came back in his current capacity in 2008. In his free time, he rows on a local lake and bakes pies.

Joo-Wang John Lee

Assistant Director of Development

John was born in Seoul, South Korea, and grew up in the Philippines. After earning a bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and biochemistry from Middlebury College in Vermont, John pursued his passion for programming and computer science. He worked at Dartmouth College and at Binghamton University, where he used sunapsis. In his free time, John loves watching movies and listening to jazz.

Santiago Salmeron

Assistant Director of Mobile Development

Santi was born in Mexico City, and grew up partly in Guadalajara Jalisco and partly in Indianapolis Indiana. Santi earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science from IU Bloomington. He previously operated a startup developing design oriented cross-platform mobile applications for startups at IU’s Shoemaker Innovation Center. In his free time Santi spends his time with his three favorite people, his fiancé Rocio and their two cats Meatball and Pringles.

Tyler Dell

Sr. Systems Analyst/ Programmer

Tyler grew up in West Lafayette, Indiana and earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science with minors in philosophy and cognitive science from IU Bloomington. While working at sunapsis, Tyler earned his master’s degree in information science from IU Indianapolis to pursue his interests in the intersection of computing and philosophy — focusing on information ontology and student privacy ethics. He previously worked as a research assistant at IU’s Privacy Lab researching group dynamics on online forums. In his free time, Tyler enjoys reading, local music and theater, playing bass guitar, and skateboarding.

Adrian John

Senior Systems Analyst/ Programmer

Adrian was born and raised in Trinidad & Tobago before moving to the U.S. in 2023 to pursue a master’s degree in computer science at the University of South Dakota. Before relocating, he worked as a software developer for companies in the financial and manufacturing sectors. Outside of coding, he enjoys hiking, camping, visiting museums, and exploring the cosmos.

Dheeraj Manchandia

Senior Systems Analyst/ Programmer

Born and raised in the vibrant city of Mumbai, India, Dheeraj completed a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from University of Mumbai. With a solid foundation in technology, he started his professional journey with a leading French bank, BNP Paribas, gaining four years of valuable experience. Eager to expand his knowledge and skills, Dheeraj pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science from Indiana University Bloomington. This academic pursuit further honed his expertise and prepared him for new challenges. Outside of work, he is a passionate soccer enthusiast, enjoying both watching and playing the sport. He also has a keen interest in photography. Music and movies are other favorite pastimes.

Abu Saleh Md Noman

Sr. Systems Analyst/ Programmer

Noman was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Because his parents were government service holders, he had the opportunity to roam around the country. Prior to coming to the USA, he graduated from BUET back in 2012. Later he worked for IQVIA for a couple of years before joining IU, where he earned a Master’s degree in Computer Science (2019). Noman is a proud Bangladeshi and he led the Bangladesh Student Association at IU. He loves traveling to new places and his favorite destination is Utah and Colorado. In his free time, he likes to play with his toddler boy and play FIFA. He is also an avid follower of Football Club Barcelona and a huge Lionel Messi fan!
